Accessible Trick-or-Treat
To make a more inclusive Halloween experience, trick-or-treat stations will be at the end of each driveway, free from obstacles and barriers. Tables will be well-lit, but trick-or-treaters are encouraged to bring flashlights. Decorations that use strobe lights or have high-pitched, sudden loud noises will not be used, and pets will be kept away from the front of their houses. Every station will also have two bowls - one bowl of treats that are peanut, nut, and gluten-free, and another bowl filled with toys for an allergy-friendly experience.
A group of parents in partnership with the Town of Sudbury’s Commission on Disability are bringing community groups and several town businesses together so families have an inclusive, allergy-friendly experience this Halloween for children of all abilities.
The Accessible Trick-or-Treat will take place on Tuesday, October 31, 5-7pm on Meadowbrook Circle and Meadowbrook Road. All children are invited; no registration is required.
