Tadpole will also keep your stroller running smooth and provide both in-person and virtual consultations for all kinds of things.

2. Kodomo - Boston

Kodomo (means "child" in Japanese) is full of brightly patterned, happy, and soft baby clothes. The baby section offers shoes and swimwear as well. Kodomo embraces "slow fashion" which is an ethical approach to making clothing from start to finish. 

3. Mockingbird Baby and Kids - Charlestown

5. Diaper Lab - North Cambridge

A hidden diamond in North Campbridge, the Diaper Lab is stuffed full of everything you need for cloth diapering, carrying your baby, breastfeeding, and more. Diaper Lab was started because the owner's baby had a bad rash that could not be healed until she started cloth diapering. If you want to give cloth diapering or are committed to cloth diapering, Diaper Lab is a must-shop.

6. Magic Beans - Cambridge/Wellesley

Magic Beans is a popular baby and kids store with a following. Two locations offer all the things a baby needs. Gear demos are available in-person (by appointment) and virtually. Magic Beans offers strollers, car seats, bike seats, boosters, jogging strollers, and more. Did someone say toys? Yes, there are lots of toys too, and Magic Beans even runs a candy buy-back after Halloween (you can thank them later).

7. Magpie Kids  - Somerville

Find lots of great brands at Magpie Kids, like Tea Collection, Angel Dear, and Wee Gallery. This shop also carries items from small, independent creators. If there are some special things you would like for your baby, Magpie offers a registry you can share with your friends.

8. Baby Koo - West Newton

Baby Koo offers stylish clothes, cribs, and more in their 3000 square foot location. Merchandise for babies and kids stock the space. Baby Koo also specializes in products that are organic, safe, and eco-friendly.

9. Tiny Hanger - Brookline/Wellesley

This mom-owned shop has two locations for your baby gear and gift needs. Besides baby clothing and yoys, Tiny Hanger carries clothing for boys (up to age 6) and girls (up to age eight). The shop also sells online.

11. Good Hearts - Reading

This is definitely one of the best baby stores in Boston if you need a bowtie on your baby boy! Good Hearts sells clothing for special occassions. The shop has a selection of baby outfits for dressy family events, as well as more straightforward clothing and accessories.

12. Wilton's Children Store - Ware

Take a drive for this one. Wilton's is an absolutely huge shopping experience, filling 12,000 square feet of space with tons of stuff. Wilton's stocks all the major brands at 25-50% off the regular price. Open every day but Monday.
