Snow Tubing at Power Ridge Mountain Park and Resort—Middlefield

Powder Ridge is an ideal destination for anyone looking for some mountaintop thrills. Tubes and helmets (required here) are included with a park pass purchase. However, no tube sharing is allowed. It's a long way down each of the 12 tubing lanes, but a magic carpet will bring you back to the top, and slope lights help take the fun into the night. The Ridge offers 1 hour and 45-minute passes, and reservations are strongly recommended as tickets often sell out.

Mohawk Mountain—Cornwall

Keep checking the weather forecast, and purchase passes for tubing at Mohawk Mountain starting December 26. The facility plans to open Thursday through Sunday weekly, provided nature cooperates. Passes are offered for 1 hour 45-minute sessions, and tubes must be rented. All tubers must sign a waiver and must be able to carry their own tube. Best Snow Tubing Near Connecticut for Families

Ward Ski Area - Shrewsbury, MA

With a weather cam and constant weather reports, you'll always know what the tubing conditions are. The Ward Ski Area offers 12 lanes with 200 tubes available for tubers.You can purchase1-hr or 2-hr tickets Wednesday through Sunday. 
Age/height requirement: "Tuba" sliders must be at least 6 years old and 42" tall

Ski Butternut—Great Barrington, MA

Like most snow destinations, Ski Butternut loves when the temperature dips! The slopes can open in December for tubing. Located only 15 miles from the Connecticut border, the drive is worth it for 200 tubes, 11 lanes, and a magic carpet to transport you to the top. The facility even guarantees 100% snowmaking coverage. Participants must be able to ride in a tube by themselves, and only single tubes are available. A release of liability form is required. Tickets are for 2-hour time slots.
Age/height requirements: Recommended for ages 5 and over

Yawgoo Valley Snow Tubing Park — Exeter, RI

If you live in the eastern part of the state, Yawgoo Valley is only about 45 minutes away (and a bit over an hour from Hartford). Tubing is available Fridays through Sundays (with extra hours during holidays or school vacations, weather permitting). Reservations are encouraged for each 90-minute session. Participants must provide a signed waver and ride alone. Helmets are not required, but guests are welcome to bring their own. Don't feel like zipping down one of the 7 carved lanes? Grab a seat at a table inside the park lodge, and watch the action over a hot chocolate.

Campgaw Mountain — Mahway, NJ

For residents of the western part of the state, crossing the border into New Jersey will offer opportunities for day and night snow tubing. Campgaw is located 35 miles west of Greenwich, and just about a 1-hour drive from Danbury. It features 17 tubing lanes, a magic carpet lift, and snowmaking capabilities. Tubes are included with tickets for 1- or 2-hour time slots. Guests must ride alone and provide a signed waver. Sessions are offered every day, and online reservations are highly recommended.
