The mass Military Heroes Fund creates a garden of flags on Boston Common for Memorial Day weekend. This year, they are planting 33,000 flags, each of which represents a brave Massachusetts service member who gave his or her life defending our country since the Civil War. The completed garden is a breathtaking tribute to the true meaning of Memorial Day and a powerful message of community support to the families of these fallen heroes that their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

The Boston Police Department and Boston Police Runner's Club hosts the annual Run To Remember, honoring Massachusetts Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty by celebrating their lives and giving back to the community.
Sports and Fitness Expo - Sat & Sun: over 30 exhibitors offering great savings, new product samples, nationally recognized athletes and service providers. Children's activities include jump rooms, clowns, K-9 demonstrations, story telling, kids safety programs and more. Sat 9am-5pm; Sun 6am-12n.
Saturday: Kids Fun Runs begin at 10am on top of the Seaport World Trade Center. There is no entry fee and all finishers receive an official finisher’s ribbon. You do not have to sign up in advance, simply come to the starting line between 9:30am and 10am on Saturday morning. Races begin at promptly 10am.
Sunday: Half-marathon begins at the Seaport World Trade Center, through Fanueil Hall, the Boston Common, by the State House and along the Charles River. (Sold out)

Starting as a statewide sheep show almost 40 years ago, the Sheep and Woolcraft Fair has become a celebration of all things sheep, from shearing and herding to spinning and weaving. You can check out the wares of food vendors and craftspeople, and visit the Kiddie Ag area. There are workshops for kids, like knitting, spinning, needle felting – even making treasure bags.
