Welcome to October and lots of fall fun, feasts and festivals. For apples head to the Pumpkin Fest in Yaphank. If the weather forces the family indoors, head to the theater to see Cinderella in Elmont. Be sure to check out our Halloween Guide for tons of seasonal fun across Long Island.

Pumpkin Fest - Yaphank. At the Suffolk County Farm & Education Center. Wagon Rides Children’s Entertainment Live Bands-Rattlesnake Dawn and Johnny Cuomo Pumpkin Decorating Carnival Games Corn Maze Pumpkin Picking Craft Vendors Food Vendors Pony Rides Bounce Village and more. Cost: $12/person, kids under age 3 are free.

Fall Family Festival - Oyster Bay. At the Planting Fields Arboretum. Halloween trick-or-treat and costume parade, bounce house, candy apples, cider and pies, potato sack races, egg and spoon races, pony rides, carriage rides, pumpkins for sale, pumpkin painting, dahlia garden tours, and live music. Cost: $20/vehicle.

LEGO Building Contes & Exhibit - Stony Brook. Check out these LEGO creations. Cost: $4/person.

Nature Nick Presents Animal Adventures - East Hampton. Fast-paced live animal show. Shows at 1pm and 3pm. Cost: $5/person.

Amityville AppleFest - Amityville. Pumpkin carving demonstrations, antiques, pony rides, petting zoo, bounce houses and kiddy rides. Cost: Free.

Willy Wonka Junior - East Islip. Live play. Cost: $10/tickets in advance or $12/at the door.

Cinderella - Elmont. Live performance.Cost: $10/tickets in advance or $12/at the door.

Explorer Family Backpacks - Hempstead. At Hofstra University Museum, pick up a backpack and discover the beauty of the world's cultures through specific works displayed in the gallery, create your own keepsake artworks to bring home, for children ages 5-10. Cost: Free.

Arts in the Plaza - Long Beach. At Kennedy Plaza, check out local artwork. Free kids art stations. Cost: Free admission.

Fit4Mom Nassau County Stroller Strides - Seaford. At Cedar Creek Park. Daily stroller walking mommy & me exercise program. Cost: First class is free; paid packages available thereafter.

Science Saturday at the Long Island Science Center - Riverhead. Kids can learn and play at the Long Island Science Center with over 30 hands-on exhibits. The center is open from 11am to 4pm. Cost: $5 per person.

Craft for Kids at Lakeshore Learning Store - New Hyde Park. At the Lakeshore Learning Store. Cost: Free.

Grown Up & Me Yoga (Ages 3-5) - Bellmore. Mommy or Daddy and Me yoga at Emerge Yoga & Wellness. Cost: $15.

Fall Festival at Sagtikos Manor - West Bayshore. Fall Festival features: 1775 NY Regiment, Colonial demonstrations, Old English Country Dancing, hands-on crafts and old-fashioned games for children, puppet show, cemetery tour, self-guided tour of Manor, vendors and food. Cost: $7/per person.

Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off - Westbury. At Hicks Nursery join in the fun to see who has grown the largest pumpkin. Categories include Best Pumpkin Grown by a Child. Cost: Free admission.

Gustafer Yellowgold's The Tooth Will Set You Free - Huntington.This live performance will feature new songs and videos from Gustafer Yellowgold's Wisdom Tooth of Wisdom, along with plenty of fan favorites from the five previous Gustafer Yellowgold releases, as well as this year's hit single, "Cakenstein." Cost: $12/ticket.

The Wiggles: Ready, Set, Wiggle - Westbury. Live musical performance at NYCB Theatre at Westbury. Cost: tickets are between $22.50-$69.50.

Making Magic from the Everyday - Roslyn. A guide will take participants through an unusual adventure that employs small toys, thread spools and other common objects to create works of art—dioramas which, via photography, will magically transform from tiny to life size. Cost: Museum admission + $8/family for materials.

Sunday Seatuck Family Nature Club Islip. Birds, trees and seasonal things. Cost: Free

LEGO Club at CMEE - Bridgehampton. Children's Museum of the East End, Bridgehampton, 10am. Children can construct works of art using the thousands of Legos at the Museum. Cost: Free with admission. NOTE: CMEE will be closed after 5pm on Sunday, August 31 and all day Monday, Sept. 1 - Friday, Sept. 5 for their annual fall clean up.

Mommy/Daddy Me Anti-Gravity Yoga - Bellmore. Have your little one explore the Anti-Gravity hammocks while building basic motor skills. All kids AGY classes are structured to introduce basic life skills and build confidence in a light-hearted way while having fun. Cost: $20.
