What to Know About Red Jacket Beach Resort
I recently stayed at Red Jacket Beach Resort with a friend for a quick, much-needed moms' getaway. We saw a variety of groups there, including families with kids, couples, a multigenerational family reunion, a wedding party, and other gal pals having a girls' getaway like us. The resort was perfect for everyone!
Our biggest takeaway was that Red Jacket Beach Resort combines modern decor and amenities in its rooms and vacation homes with a rustic, charming exterior for which Cape Cod is known. Picture wooden staircases and walkways, salty-aired hallways, and tons of gorgeous flowers everywhere! You'll definitely get that laid-back Cape Cod vibe while still enjoying high-end accommodations.

Red Jacket Beach Resort Rooms and Houses
My friend and I stayed in a standard two-queen room with a balcony overlooking the river. We just loved the room's modern coastal decor!
We also got to tour one of the resort's ocean-view townhouses and were completely blown away by this home away from home. The three-bedroom, two-bath home has a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, a furnished patio with an outdoor grill, a foosball table, sweeping views of Nantucket Sound, and amazing full-size bunk beds that my kids would have gone nuts over (sorry, kids). Red Jacket Beach Resort also has three- and four-bedroom cottages that are perfect for extended families.

Things To Do at Red Jacket Beach Resort
The Beach
Not gonna lie—my friend and I spent an entire day on the resort's private beach and were perfectly content! The Sound is gorgeous and peaceful, and we enjoyed lounging under our umbrella and enjoying food and drinks brought to us by the friendly beach attendants. We were thrilled to see New England Cottontail rabbits hopping by (yes, really), but less thrilled about the persistent sea gull who tried to sneakily steal our lunch!
Pools
Red Jacket Beach Resort has two pools: an indoor pool and an outdoor one with an adjacent zero-entry kids pool complete with a spray feature. The pools aren't very big, but they are clean and well maintained (and who goes to Cape Cod for the pools?).
Spa
My friend and I did not get a chance to visit the spa, which offers massages, facials, body treatments, waxing, and lash and brow treatments.
Other Activities
Red Jacket Beach Resort installed gorgeous pickleball courts in 2025. There's also a half basketball court, lawn games such as a mini putting green, and ping-pong tables in the indoor pool area. Kids can stop by the L.L. Bean Beach Box on their way to the sand, from which they can borrow beach toys and games.
And summertime brings tons of extra fun for kids, with an activity-packed events calendar featuring a video game bus, a mobile zoo, a pirate show and scavenger hunt, Mad Science workshops, and so much more. Grown-ups can enjoy a daily beach yoga class.
Red Jacket Beach Resort Dining
The resort has an on-site restaurant, Tides & Tavern, that's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had breakfast there, as well as pool- and beach-side takeout lunches from there. Everything we had, from an omelet to pizza, tasted great! There's also The Crow's Nest, a bar with light bites. And the resort is home to the only Sam Adams Beer Garden at a US hotel, conveniently located by the pool. It has a selfie station, corn hole, and a menu of grilled favorites like Wagyu burgers and lobster rolls.
Red Jacket Beach Resort is also only a few minutes' drive from the Skipper Chowder House, a famous Cape Cod restaurant with fantastic seafood and more, including a kids menu. We loved dining al fresco at the Skipper and soaking in the local vibes. There's also an on-site ice cream shack.
Why You Should Book a Last-Minute Summer 2025 Stay at Red Jacket Beach Resort
Massachusetts is celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2025. To celebrate, Red Jacket Beach Resort has teamed up with another iconic Massachusetts brand, Steele Canvas Basket Corp., on a special summer 2025 collaboration. Steele Canvas products such as canvas butterfly chairs, storage bins, and laundry caddies are integrated throughout the resort, and Signature beach totes and accessories are stocked in the resort gift shop.
I got one of the awesome red-striped beach totes during my stay at Red Jacket Beach Resort, and let me tell you—this thing is amazing! It is huge enough to fit all of my family of five's beach essentials and comes with an accessory pouch. It's also extremely well made, has a water-resistant bottom, and is super stylish. I'll be carrying this beach tote for years to come! I also love that all of Steele Canvas's products are made right here in the USA!
