Where to See 4th of July Fireworks in Westchester and the Hudson Valley 2025

The 4th of July is almost here, and fireworks will be lighting up the night sky all over the Hudson Valley. We have rounded up the top spots to watch these holiday sparklers throughout the region on July 4th proper and on the surrounding dates.
Our picks for festivities include the ultra kid-friendly Mamaroneck Fireworks Spectacular and Fireman's Carnival at Harbor Island Park, and Red, White, and Boom at Legoland New York, which features all-day entertainment and a unique fireworks extravaganza in which the fireworks transform into Lego bricks.

Tips for Attending Westchester and Hudson Valley Fireworks with Children
- Bring your own chairs or picnic blanket, as many of the best viewing spots are in parks.
- Pack glow sticks or light-up toys for the kids. The fireworks start after dark, and there is generally some waiting time before they start, so it's good for the kids to have something to entertain themselves while they wait.
- Don't forget mosquito repellent. Summer evenings in Westchester and the Hudson Valley are often shared with these biting insects, especially in the parks, and it's no fun getting a million bites.
- There might be a lot of traffic after the show is over. Look for alternate viewing spots. For example, the fireworks on the Walkway over the Hudson can also be viewed from the Poughkeepsie waterfront and the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum, and fireworks are visible from many of the riverfront parks or beaches on Long Island Sound.
Safety Tips for Watching Fireworks with Kids
- Make sure you are at least 500 feet away from where fireworks are being set off. At a public display, this should not be an issue, but just in case.
- If the kids want their own fireworks, opt for glow sticks or other light-up devices instead of sparklers, especially for kids under age 5.
- Leave pets at home and secure as many animals get frightened by the loud noises.
- For small babies, choose a spot that is far away from the noise, and have a fast exit strategy planned in case you have to leave early.
