2 Summer Day Camps and 1 Overnight Camp Just for Girls
Traditional day camps, overnight camps, sports camps, enrichment programs - there are so many opportunities for kids to grow and learn that it’s hard to know how to narrow down your selection. This post in our continuing series about summer camp options focuses on camps that are just for girls.
We asked the directors of these camps about the benefits of a “girl only” camp. The consensus? It can provide a welcoming, nurturing environment (no popularity contests!) that reinforces a girl’s sense of self-worth and offers a place where campers feel comfortable trying new things, and have a chance to relax, away from the pressures and competition of the busy school year. For more helpful advice, be sure to check out our 8 Tips for Choosing the Right Camp for Your Daughter, offered by Samantha Razook Murphy, founder of Curious Jane.
