Bring Kids to Atlanta's Bubble Planet Experience

I brought my daughters and nieces to Bubble Planet Atlanta because it seemed created for these girlies. They love all things pretty and poppable and who wouldn't want to run through room after room of out-of-this-world colors, shapes, sounds, and general beauty.

Rubber ducky mania!

Bubbly Rooms, Bubbly Kids

Start your "planet" tour in the LED Room, where families dive into an underwater world and chase creatures below the sea. My girls loved trying to stomp, jump, and catch the images below their feet. Just be warned: The walls are mirrored and we had two kiddos smack into the walls during their underwater expedition (they recovered quickly).

After all that running, take a dip in the Bubble Ocean where visitors unleash with tons of massive balloons. Fans and the spherical space keep the balloons centered so kids can run through them, throw them at friends, and just go nuts!

We walked through a digital kaleidoscope of hypnotic colors to get to the next section. (If you deal with motion sickness or sensitivity to light, just close your eyes as you make your way through.) Now you enter the Giant Bubble, where distorted sounds and sights change from the normal world. My kids loved making shadow puppets on the curved walls and launchinig themselves off and on the furniture.

The major highlight of the Atlanta Bubble Planet Experience has got to be the Bubble Bath Pit! Feel like you are miniaturized when playing in this oversized bath pit (filled with plastic balls). Be warned that you MUST wear socks to get into the ball pit (socks available for purchase if you forget), as the team were strictly enforcing the rule. Peaceful clouds dance above the pit while kids of all ages let loose.

Which way is out in the Infinity Room?!!

After you slip your shoes back on, continue the tour of Bubble Planet through the Infinity Room. Our brains definitely got overwhelmed processing the continuous illusions of this trippy space. Again, if your kids don't love blinking lights, just let them close their eyes and hold their hands as you make your way through.

And what's a visit to a planet of bubbles without chasing actual bubbles?! Chase and touch the bubbles as they're released from machines anchored in the ceiling -- seriously, your kids will love this section.

If you want to catch all the fun for your social media channels or want a really cool photo ops, take a few minutes to pose at the various bubble vignettes located throughout the space. Take photos: in a bathtub filled with rubber duckies; in a massive washing machine where you're human laundry; on swing hanging from a cloud of balloons; among inflatable gummy bears; and much more.

For those with VIP passes or who want to pay an additional $5, "visit" a magical bubbly planet with the VR experience. Again, those with motion sensitivities may want to skip this one. Finish your day off with a walk through the gift shop and maybe an order of airy cotton candy at the cafe.
